The Clay

The Clay by Ron DiCianniThe beginning of a New Year brings about new hopes, new dreams, and new starts for everyone. Most Christians can take this time and recommit to going to church, Bible study and reading their Bibles. It's really a joyous time of year for this reason. If you are one of those people who are looking forward to a renewed self, well, God Bless you!

Hopefully when you look back at this time of your life, you will remember what it felt like to feel loved by Jesus. Chances are though, you will also remember the trails that you went through. Becoming a follower of Christ isn't always easy.

The Clay by Ron DiCianni reminds us that though walking the road with Christ maybe hard, God is right there, sculpting us. The inspiration verse for this painting is Isaiah 64:8.

"Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."

When a potter is creating a new pot, he is very particular and careful about which spots he puts pressure on, and which parts he guides along to grow. The pot is not always beautiful during this process, but the potter knows the potential, and most importantly, what the outcome will be... a piece of art!

God does the exact same thing with us, and has great insight into our growth. He guides us down this journey of life doing what he can gently mold us into the faithful servants.

The Clay is available at TapestryProductions.com and starts at $100. It serves a great reminder to all of us, that God is always at work in our lives.

I am an art teacher in a Christian school. The bulletin board in my classroom focuses on Christian artists. I want my students to realize that art comes from the LORD and that it can be used to bring honor and glory to Him and to lead others to Him. For January, I was praying which artist to focus on and what the main picture would be for the bulletin board. I chose the above picture "The Clay". It is so neat how the LORD works through the hearts of other believers. I got goosebumps when I saw this picture featured for the blog devotional. Thank You Ron for being used of God.

I am artist and a child of god.According to me if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.I have painted so many paintings on christian art and i love to do this work because people love to watch this art work.
