Our hope for Before I Formed You in the Womb...

On radio interviews, conversations, meetings, etc everyone wants to know what our goals are for Ron DiCianni's new painting Before I Formed You in the Womb. So, on behalf of Ron, myself and Tapestry let me take a second and tell you a story.

The day the painting was released Ron received an email from a lady telling us about her fight for Life. She stands outside and abortions clinic each day and tries her best to get the attention of the women entering so she can encourage them not to kill their child. The day Before I Formed You... was debuted she told us:

"I wish I'd been able to show this beautiful picture to Janie, 21 years old, who came to All Womens this morning to kill her unborn child. She and her boyfriend screamed obscenities at me when I pleaded with her to let me help her through pregnancy. Finally she yelled that she'd take a brochure if I'd just shut up. But as she walked toward me, she began trembling, and with tears in her eyes, she shared that she didn't want to have an abortion but just couldn't have a baby right now. I gave her my cell # and begged her to come with me to a nearby crisis pregnancy center for a free ultrasound but she refused. She said, "You're a good person for being here. Thank you." Then, with tears streaming down her face, she got her boyfriend and they walked inside to kill their baby. I keep wondering how awesome it would've been to have your picture... and your story to show Janie!!!"

The bottom line of the story, a baby died that morning and maybe, just maybe, Before I Formed You in the Womb could have made a difference.

Our hope for this painting? That we never get another email like that again. There is no reason, God helping us and His Church partnering with us, that this image can not be made available to every pregnancy center, every doctor's office, every church and every sidewalk counselor.

But we need help. We need YOUR help...

1) Pray. Pray for us, the sidewalk counselors and more importantly heart change for every "Janie" in America.

2) Share. Share the image and this post on Facebook, on your blog, at your church, to your small group and Sunday School class, etc. If God has given you a bigger microphone then that (TV, Radio, Print, Internet, etc) share it there too!

3) Participate. We have made this print so affordable to get it into the hands of as many as possible. God has even blessed us with a major donor who is offsetting part of the cost of every print purchased. In 20 years that's never happened! Buy a copy for yourself, your daughter, your wife or to donate. If you can’t do it on your own, do what a friend of our in Texas did, have your small group each chip in $5 and then give it to a local women's shelter.

We have more planned for this image then just releasing one print but we need people to engage with us so we can get some traction to move forward. Just thinking this is a great painting and hoping it will get out there is not enough! So often we harbor our time, money or contacts waiting for a "good" or "worthy" opportunity, sometimes not realizing it's staring us in the face. That's why, here at Tapestry, we're going "All in" and partnering with Ron on this release. Will you partner with Ron and do the same?

Last but not least, we are in a need of at least one major donor to help us with a very special part of this campaign. We want to send a copy of Before I Formed You… and Ray Comfort's 180 DVD to every Pediatrician, Obstetrician and more importantly Planned Parent center in America. Sure, 98% of them may be tossed in the trash but if just ONE, just one abortion provider sees this image and chooses Life, what's that worth? $100? 100k? Priceless? If God has given you resources, please consider partnering with us in this.
