Free water and drinks will be available to carry while enjoying the lovely breeze and scenic waterfront. Immediately following the event, participants are invited to a complimentary lunch, bounce house and face painting.
This is our 18th year hosting this walk and every year we are able to fulfill our fundraising goals and increase awareness of the numerous services that we provide to the multicultural communities of San Diego. With the help of San Diego businesses and new community advocates, we anticipate significantly increasing our 2012 event attendance. The funds raised will not only help women during pregnancy, they will also provide support for the next five years of the child’s life.
About Birthline: Founded over 33 years ago and based in San Diego, California, Birthline has been a solid pillar of the community supporting the most vulnerable and disadvantaged women and children by supplying immediate needs of formula, diapers, clothes, shoes and food; as well as referrals for counseling, legal, medical, housing, adoption, education and other social services. Did you know that 80% of seminary and Bible school graduates who enter the ministry will leave the ministry within the first five years? That is a shocking and upsetting number. But we can help our pastor's stay positive and give them the appreciation they need and deserve to keep them ministering to us.We have two exciting ways for you to encourage your pastor during this Pastor Appreciation Month:

Come join Ron DiCianni and his art at The Ponte Family Estate Winery on October 18th, 2012 at 7:00pm for "A Evening of Art in The Vineyards." This event is presented by Thessolinka Family Services for their Rancho Damacitas Community Group Homes.
More than 27 years ago Rancho Damacitas Children's Home was started here in the Temecula Valley by a loving couple with a big heart for children. They bought one home in Temecula, caring for four girls. Over the years this program has increased to include six homes, caring for 36 children. Also developed over the years were Rancho Jireh Foster Homes, and Project Independence. Collectively these three programs form Thessalonika Family Services, an incorporated 501©(3) nonprofit agency.
Guests will be able to see 18 of Ron DiCianni's signature pieces up close and personal, as well as enjoy featured music artist Jillian Calkins. Sponsorships and VIP Tables are available for this event.
Ticket prices are $15 per person, or $25 per person for VIP. For tickets, please call Thessolinka's ticket line at 951-302-7597.
