As a young boy I felt that God must live in nature when He was not in
church on Sundays and Wednesdays. One of God's most favorite places on His earth just had to be the Rogue River in southern Oregon. As a boy, I would hike down the lower Rogue River canyon. I swore that I could hear God speaking to me through the rush of the water and the breeze rustling through the trees. I couldn't make out any words but I just knew He was telling me something good. These many years later, I raft rather than hike down the lower Rogue River. I know that I can seek and find God anywhere, but when I hear the rush of the river and
the wind in the trees, I still can't help but think that He is telling me something good.
