The Prodigal
This timeless epic painting illustrates the story of the prodigal son told in Luke 15. Though the events were told 2,000 years ago, the parable is relevant to each person today. God, as our Father, is waiting for us to run to Him…to come home. When we do, we are welcomed back, forgiven of our wrongdoing and given a new heritage that can only be offered by Him. The Prodigal depicts this moment in time and shows it as a meeting of the contemporary world and the ancient reminding us that God yearns for all His “prodigals” to return to Him. Luke 15:11-31
