The trials, problems, and worries of this life often seem to be never ending. At times, they pile up making us feel like we will be crushed under the weight of life’s problems. In The Weight of the World, Ron DiCianni portrays a woman with the weight of the world on her shoulders. What gives us hope is that behind the woman, God’s has sent His angels to help bear the load. The Weight of the World is proof to us that He will never leave us even in the midst of a world of problems.
The metaphor I used to show the cares of life is the world sitting on the shoulders of a woman. I’m sure all of us have felt like we carried the “weight of the world” at one time or another.
Sometimes though, we have felt it was more than we could bear. The angels in the background are the ones really shouldering the load, even though they are unseen by the lady.
The truth remains that God will never give us more than we can bear, but it may be more than we want to bear!
