America was founded as a Christian nation by Christian men. Today’s activists, liberal organizations and the media can try to rewrite history, but the plain facts are that every President in our nation’s history has believed in and trusted in God. The Faith of the Presidents, by Ron DiCianni, does not seek to set the record straight, rather it seeks to expose the record. The record is that every President has confessed faith in God, has prayed to God and that our nation has been led by men who have sought wisdom from God. This powerful adult version of Praying With the Presidents is sure to show readers the men of faith that we have called “the President.”
Praying for Peace, Washington at Valley Forge
Sometimes I wonder why a person would campaign so hard to be the President of the United States. I think it just may be the toughest job in the world. Washington had to face England, Lincoln had to face a civil war, and President Bush presently has to contend with ruthless terrorism. As I learned about each of our Presidents, I found that almost all had monumental challenges that would have buckled the knees of the strongest man. My hope was to draw back the curtain of time and show the legacy of each President looking to Almighty God for help in doing a job bigger than the abilities of any one man. Abraham Lincoln summed it up best when he declared that he was driven to his knees many times by the fact that he had absolutely no where else to go for help. Frankly, I am tired of hearing the crowd of liberals that deny the legacy of faith in the White House. They may be able to redirect the future of our country, but they sure can’t change our history!
